Lisa Eldridge hosted Charlotte Tilbury for a makeup tutorial. I love watching Lisa’s videos and she has taught me tons. Jason likes it too because he thinks her voice is soothing – maybe something in his genetics is still linked to that British accent. Charlotte’s video had some great tips in it. Does anyone want to gift me the Tom Ford Shade & Illuminate? Anyone?

I’ve been reading Aran Goyoaga’s blog Cannelle et Vanille for years now, even before she went gluten-free. When she made the switch you cannot imagine my joy. This inspirational cook now would always be making food I could eat too! Her new book Small Plates and Sweet Treats is coming out next month and I cannot wait. My favorite recipe of hers of late is the one for Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies with fleur de sel and muscovado sugar. Amazing! Her perspective that eliminating gluten actually widens your food world instead of narrowing it is one that I share.

Love this! I too am in a phase of life where my house just is messy and I don’t see an end in sight. I clean it when necessary and straighten areas as I need to use them, but for all the endless cleaning and laundry and such, it still looks messy. All the time. If you come over I will be glad you are here but I will not clean up for you. Well, maybe just the grossest things.

I want to live in Alicia’s house and be her friend. That is all.

Also I got the latest issue of Victoria, my favorite magazine.

And I finished reading The Lee Bros. Southern Cookbook and The Homemade Pantry by Alana Chernila.
